Flinders University
Flinders University is a leading Australian University catering for over 30,000 students and staff. There are 22 car parks distributed throughout the Bedford Park campus, both outdoor and multi-level.
Holman Engineering designed and installed a parking guidance system to aid students and staff in efficiently finding available parking spaces. The system monitors vehicle movements, as well as reserved bays, to accurately calculate the available spaces and then displays these figures on signs that were installed throughout the campus. The system consists of 57 LED displays, 32 count points, 271 individually monitored spaces and 4896 total parking spaces.
The count points, individual bay sensors, and LED displays all use wireless technology to communicate with our TrafficNet server. The server stores all collected data on a central database which can be accessed by a user friendly web-based UI. The system is integrated with the CellOPark parking payment app and can easily communicate data with other 3rd party web-based services.
