Signage
IntelliPark can have an unlimited number of LED displays connected to the main computer system meaning there is no limit to the number of zones, subzones or subzone groups that you can have. Our dynamic signs are driven by RS485 communications, which can be either wired or wireless. Holman can offer either 4 or 6 character LED displays, with 120 mm height, both of which can scroll messages either horizontally or vertically. All Holman displays use amber coloured LEDs. We can also assist with the design, manufacture and supply of static signage for housing our dynamic displays - be it back lit, for conventional road side viewing or something more funky or stylish.
IntelliPark data is used to display occupancy information on either:
All LED displays are manufactured to exclude water ingress and malfunction by condensation and dirt particles. All housings are made from stainless steel. Maintenance is undertaken through the Holman designed web interface. This allows maintenance people to log on to the IntelliPark system through any browser (mobile or PC) and change any display or set of displays.
Some of the LED display features include:
The Green Feature: The ability to blank the signs between certain hours (This is important as it saves energy by only using the signs when patrons will benefit from it, and because it's bad PR for an organisation to be seen wasting energy).
The ability to display timed messages: a very useful management tool. In other words, to be able to change a message depending on the time of day (such as displaying ‘AFTER 4PM’ for a car park where casual parkers are only allowed in after 4pm).
The ability to display ‘ALMOST FULL’: The level at which it displays ‘ALMOST FULL’ is configurable for each car park. This feature is very helpful when a car park has say 100 bays and 2 are disabled bays. In this instance, the system would be configured to display ‘ALMOST FULL’ when there are only 2 bays left.
Resynchronisation: This is where the system is configured to reset each car park to a configurable number of cars present at a configurable time. Typically this is done at 3am and the car parks are mostly set to zero (with the exception of any car parks that would have cleaner’s cars in them at that time). This ensures there is no accuracy creep.
Autoblanking: This feature enables the system to be fully automatic and even look after the situation when something has gone wrong. Each car park can be configured to have a lower limit and upper limit. If the number of vehicles present falls outside of these values all signs displaying information about this car park are blanked so they are not displaying invalid information. When the system is resynchronised all of the autoblanked areas are cleared. This means even if a car park loses power for a few hours and the count is out, the system will not only blank itself, but it will be automatically fixed the next morning.
Email/ SMS on problem: This feature means the system will automatically send an email or SMS out when a fault is detected.
User web interface: This provides a data feed in real-time that can be displayed on a web page. This data feed is the message that is currently being displayed, not just the number of spaces. So when a car park is closed on the system it displays ‘CLOSED’ on the website.
Remote Intensity Adjustment: This feature means that all LED displays on the one sign can have their intensity automatically adjusted at the same time to the same level.
Synchronised Scroll: This feature keeps scrolling signs in sync, which looks very tidy. If two signs are displaying ‘ALMOST FULL’, then it looks more professional when they scroll in synchronisation.
